Public Comment During Board of Commissioner’s Meetings
Remote Participation via Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams participants will need to pre-register by completing a Virtual Public Comment Form below or by calling the District Office at 727-376-4568. A separate pre-registration is required for each Meeting.
Pre-registration must be completed and submitted to the District by 3:00 p.m. EST on the day prior to the Meeting.
**If you have not pre-registered to participate via Microsoft Teams, by the specified time, you will not be able to participate virtually in the Public Comment portion of the Meeting. However, the individually may attend in person.**
Microsoft Teams participants must log into the meeting 15 minutes before the meeting starts with the link provided at the time of pre-registration.
Microsoft Team participants will wait until the Public Comment item on the Agenda and will be notified by a member of the District staff when it's their turn to speak.
Each participant is limited to 3 minutes for comments (or that time allowed under the Board’s regular procedural rules).
Participants must announce their name, whether they live within the District, and if applicable, the Agenda Item number they are addressing.
If you submit a Virtual Public Comment Form and then determine that you do not want to speak, you should notify the member of the District staff following notification that it’s your turn to speak.
All individuals must avoid behavior that disrupts the Meeting.
Public Comment is only allowed during the Public Comment Agenda item.
The Questions and Answers toggle will not be turned on during Meetings.
The Chair of the Board shall have authority to enforce this Policy during Meetings.
In Person
Members of the public attending inside the Board Room shall only speak during the Public Comment period after being recognized by the Chair.
Board Room participants will be permitted to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes
Board Room participants will be permitted to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes, unless a request for additional time is approved by the Chair in advance of the meeting.
