Michael Cox
As an entrepreneur, Michael understands what it is like to have a dream and work hard to achieve it. He knows firsthand that every decision made impacts your family and their future. His focus as a Pasco County Mosquito Control Commissioner is to operate the District efficiently by being a good steward of tax-payer money and always protecting you and your family from mosquito-borne diseases.

For more than 30 years, Michael has been involved in a wide variety of civic and volunteer organizations, both locally and state-wide. His passion for making a difference in his community started in the late 1980s.

Education
Michael is a Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute graduate and the University of South Florida Financial Planner Program. In 2004, he earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM designation (CFP®).
Away from the Office
Originally from Springfield, IL, Michael’s family moved to Pasco County when he was six. Michael’s greatest love in life is his wife Abbey, whom he married in 1993. She is a specialty pharmaceutical representative and works across Florida. They share their New Port Richey home with two rambunctious dogs, Logan & Carter. In his spare time, you can find Michael fishing, boating, traveling, serving the community, and entertaining.
