We Did It! PCMCD Named 2026 Government Organization of the Year!

We are incredibly honored to announce that the Pasco County Mosquito Control District has been named the 2026 Government Organization of the Year at the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce Best of Pasco Awards: Postcards from Pasco!

This recognition is especially meaningful because our community nominated us. To know that the residents we proudly serve recognize the impact of our work is one of the greatest honors we could receive!

We were humbled to be finalists alongside two outstanding public agencies—the Pasco Sheriff's Office and the Pasco County Tax Collector Office. Congratulations to each organization for the quality service they provide to Pasco County.

This award belongs to every member of the PCMCD family. From our field operations, laboratory and surveillance teams, pilots, mechanics, and administrative professionals to our facilities, public outreach, and leadership staff, every employee plays an essential role in providing vital public health infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for our community.

We are also grateful to our Board of Commissioners, community partners, and the residents of Pasco County for your continued trust and support!

As 2026 marks our 75th Anniversary, this recognition serves as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. For 75 years, we've been committed to protecting public health through science-based mosquito control, innovation, and exceptional public service—and we're just getting started!
